Narrow paths lead you over springy forest floors, through the shady mountain valleys and quiet forests of the Siebengebirge, past the craggy rocky sections of the Middle Rhine Valley into the winding vineyards of the Rheingau. Along the way, spectacular views of the lively Rhine Valley and the gently rolling hills of the neighbouring low mountain ranges of the Eifel, Taunus, Hunsrück and Westerwald present themselves to you time and again. In addition, the Rheinsteig presents you with the diverse, cultural wealth of the Rhine Valley. Experience Central European cultural history, Rhine romanticism and historical landscapes in a small area. Cafés invite you to linger. Perfectly signposted and closely networked, easily accessible by train, boat and car, nothing stands in the way of the hiking experience. The yellow-marked access paths lead you safely to the blue-marked main paths.
