Aussicht Koppe Kreuz

The "Koppe" forms Leubsdorf's highest basalt dome. It grants visitors a breathtaking view over the town of Leubsdorf and the Rhine Valley to the Ahr Valley and the Vulkaneifel. The neo-Gothic St. Walburgis Church, the "White Church on the Rhine", is shining and clearly visible in the center of Leubsdorf. The heavy oak summit cross marks the highest point of the basalt dome. In the vernacular it is affectionately called "Koppe Kreuz".

A few meters away is the Black Lake, which was formed after the “Schwarzenberg” basalt mining site was closed.

Make yourself comfortable on the oversized bench, enjoy a little picnic and let your gaze wander into the distance.
