In Linz, traditional Cologne cuisine is eaten, such as Himmel un Ääd, Rievkooche, pickled herrings and, of course, Kreppelche or Muuzemandeln at carnival.

The national dish is the "Uhles", a pot cake made of grated potatoes and smoked bacon or Mettwurst sausages.
